to be launched in Beijing
The Pre-Games Training Camp Guide
will be launched by London 2012 in
Beijing during the Olympic Games.
The Guide including Wellington
School and the PRSC will be
available online from August 2008.

Kickboxing Grand Opening
A new kickboxing class is coming to
Wellington. Professional instructor,
Francis Miller, will launch the new
class at the PRSC on Monday 30 June
and Friday 6 July. Open to ages 7 to
70, the new class opens with a
special offer of six lessons and a
training suit for only £39.00.
Classes run Mondays 8.30 - 9.30 pm
and Fridays 6.00 - 7.00 pm. |

SUPERTRAMP CUP
The PRSC played host to the annual
Supertramp Cup on Sunday 18 May.
Trampolinists from all over the
South West, including a large number
from the Wellington Whirlwinds,
travelled to Wellington to take part
in the event sponored and run by the
specialist trampoline company,
Supertramp. |

Fitness classes at the PRSC
A new term of fitness classes will
start at the PRSC from 22 April.
Classes include "Stretch & Tone" and
"BodyMoves". Taken by dance
specialist, June Billington, the
classes offer you the chance to lose
weight and tone up for the summer.

Marathon record attempt at the PRSC
Wellington enjoyed its very own
marathon on Sunday as PRSC fitness
member, Rob Moysey made at an
attempt on the British indoor rowing
record for the marathon distance (a
whopping 42,195 metres). Rob
completed the distance in a time of
3 hours 7 minutes and 12 seconds, a
great performance, though not quite
enough to take the record.

PRSC on BBC Somerset Sound
BBC reporter, Pete Simson, got to
try his hand at various Olympic
sports at the PRSC on a recent visit as he
reported on Wellington School's
selection as a Pre-Games Training
Camp venue. He received expert
coaching from Paralympic fencing
coach, Cefi Felletar, former
national handball team player, JJ
Rowland, and wrestler, Steve Bayliss,
who competed in the 1984 Olympic
Games in Los Angeles.

CUSTOMER INFORMATION
Fire exit changes
There has been a change to the fire
exits within the Sports Complex The
exit at the far end of the lower
corridor is no longer in use as its
leads directly on to the building
site. There are now new routes out
of the building and a new escape
route leading away from the
building.

PRSC hosts Gifted and Talented Camp
Half term saw the PRSC host the Tone
Schools Sports Partnership Gifted
and Talented Camp for around 150 of
the most talented sporting
youngsters in the area took
advantage of the facilities
available at Wellington School.
Expert coaching was provided by
Somerset Activity and Sports
Partnership. |
